Liverpool have reached an agreement on the acquisition of striker Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven.
The 23-year-old Netherlands international will move to Liverpool when the transfer window opens on January 1, subject to the granting of a work permit and international approval.

Gakpo, who will wear the number 18 shirt at Liverpool, could make his debut for the Reds against Brentford in the Premier League on January 2, although an FA Cup tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 7 is considered a more likely date.
Gakpo endured an impressive 2022 FIFA World Cup, scoring three goals to help the Netherlands reach the quarter-finals.
A graduate of PSV academy, Gakpo made his debut in the first team in February 2018 and won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award in 2021/22 after scoring 21 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions.
Gakpo spent 15 years at PSV Eindhoven between 2007 and 2022, recording 55 goals and 50 assists in 159 appearances for the Dutch giants in all tournaments.
The striker recorded a whopping 13 goals and 17 assists in 24 appearances in the first half of the 2022-23 season, as well as scoring three goals in three consecutive 2022 World Cup group stage matches for the Netherlands.
During his time at PSV, Gakpo won an Eredivisie title, a KNVB Cup and two Dutch Super Cups.
He also won 14 caps for his country.
